I have recently given everyone the permissions required to identify their own region (once created for them by an Admin, Artisan or King) and to allow them to add and remove other players from that region.
Why would I want to add someone to my region/town plot?
By default, a region denies all building rights to everyone except the owner of that region, it's members and Artisans & Admins. Anyone who is not able to build in your region, of course, cannot grief it.
To begin, you will need some string. String is the WorldGuard region wand. Right click any block in your region/plot and you will be told it's name. This is vital to modifying the region in any way.
Type /region info <regionname>
This will tell you who is the owner of the region, it's members and if you can build or not. Do not use "< >" in the command; In this case, I'm using them identify where you must put the name of the region and where to put the player name.
To add a member, type /region addmember <regionname> <playername>
Do not add anyone whom you do not trust with your region/plot.
But remember, you can always remove members with
/region removemember <regionname> <playername>
To clarify,
If you have been given owner of a region by a King, an Artisan or an Admin, you have the rights to that region and can add/remove members in it. If you are simply a member of a region, you cannot do anything but build in it.
