About Asyr. From ze man who made it. Let me tell you a story of how it started and what it is to become since 1.3.1
At first it started as an idea to make a Faction world, simple enough. So i got to work with making it and produced this.

Pretty good right?
Nah, it needed improvements and we decided to include factions as a part of the main world. So after some prolonged discussion i came to producing this as the new main world.

It looks pretty good right? got some nice variety in terrain, and if only you could see the cave system, as it looks completely fantastic.
However there were some drawbacks to it after 1.3 came out.
Firstly, Emeralds, temples, villages and other nice finds would not generate.
Secondly, due to the way the map is made, there could never be overhanging natural terrain above ground, which many of us love.
Thirdly, the terrain is perhaps too consistent for what most players are used to.
Fourthly, the world was limited.
So, after some more discussion i came to start working on another Asyr, one where temples, emeralds etc. could generate.

Note: Above image will be changed as i make changes to the world.
By doing some testing i found it is possible to include both natural generated terrain and custom generated terrain (the natural terrain would fill in the gaps between the custom terrain). The great part about this system, is it means it is possible for me to add more custom terrain to the world after it has been uploaded to Darkspin and people are playing on it. Which would be as simple as filling in one of the gaps on the generation you see above, generate that segment and merge it with the current world.
However, since generating new terrain after the world is already out is a little tedious, from what you see there in the above image there's not that much custom terrain. So i question.
Does anybody have any suggestions for terrain types i could add before i finish this world?
More specifically the terrain the two primary neutral faction cities would be based within.
Would also be nice if all Asyr directed discussions could be based in this thread.
Also here's that snow image.
Here's the image of the void wall.
Here's the image of the terrain for the good faction.

Gentlemen. Another modification i have made is that in certain areas of Asyr the ore concentration will be MUCH higher. As seen below. (X's representing the ore of their respective colour)

Now i'm sure you must think this is rather a fantastic discovery for you to find, should you come across it.
But what's the catch?
The answer.

Why, an increased concentration of lava of course!
Have fun digging out those ores amongst burning hot lava, be sure to bring a bucket.
Of course, this only affects areas with custom terrain unfortunately :I
