GH0ST Rank

After all the roleplays we've done lately (just ask Minority/Mikey) with people becoming the GH0ST's host (specifically, me and Schamond), and him choosing heroes/champions, this rank would really be fitting.
The GH0ST rank is a rank voted upon by staff members, which gives its bearer the ability to spawn GH0ST-related items, such as: signs, water blocks, lapis lazuli blocks, and, of course, splash potions.
And, as comes with the job, it would give the abilty to /vanish, as well as use / god. Also, I am not sure how easy this would be, but the ability to type in a command such as, say, /ghost and it would change yer name to GH0ST? That would be useful.
As an added note: The ability to create lightning, and change time of day would help.
The GH0ST rank would be just as hard to get as Mason rank is— in fact, it would be wise if only other GH0STs (and Viper...) could bestow the rank. However, at least 3 moderators+ must agree that the player deserves the rank, and even than, the player must be at least a merchant.
Also, GH0STs are not allowed to discuss how they got their status. I suppose it could be a side rank, like how Jakpet is both moderator and mayor. I suppose GH0STs should be given the ability to fly, but I'm not sure how to do this without giving them Bacon's hacked client or creative mode, which are both a bit too overpowered for this rank.
Seeing as I've roleplayed GH0ST during the first roleplay, and was his host during the second roleplay, I suppose I should get this rank first, if you guys agree with it. I mean, I'm already mod, so I'm pretty trusted already. Just sayin'.

Ghost is a very dangerous NPC and to give this responsibility to players is a good idea, but i think there should be a few changes in the rules. You can buy merchant, you dont need to be trusted for it so maybe Mods+ for this rank? If we give it to anyone they could abuse it. I think admin votes should judge, just saying :/ To give this to mods would be easier, since they already have most of the commands. And also maybe a secret rank? That way players won't know who it is :D

Yeah, I agree with you— any random hacker could just cheat his way into buying merchant rank, and then just make nice-nice with a GH0ST. So I suppose that perhaps they must be at least mod to get it, unless they are reeeaaallly trusted, like you said.
And about only admins being able to vote on it.... I was thinking of GH0ST rank being a rank that the entire staff could vote on. To become a mod, one must have the trust of an admin—so if a player gets mod rank, than their say is worth just as much as an admin's. Also, just as Viper must have the final say to a player becoming a mod or an artisan, so must a GH0ST have the final say to someone else getting this title.
Also, my only reply to the "secret rank" bit is "YES."

I agree with you Merchant rank is a little low, because I do believe you should be a trusted person and be known with the community. I say that the idea of the, "Ghost Rank," be not able to fly, I say rather be able to teleport to people of choosing and to teleport people of choosing, that would make up for the flying.
Also I suggest when voting to keep the voting limited to Skype...... so that this way the voting will be unknown by lower ranks. I like the idea, but I agree with Miistic on the idea of the rank being hidden (Adds more entertainment to the people.) I am saying yes to the idea, but to a quite HIGH trust standard to receive and maybe a Mayor or Higher, I believe that the person should know the difficulty of at least having to build a entire town with hands...... to help give the Mayors some more positive support on the vote. I say yes as long as the idea is hidden from the world.

Yeah, I do agree with you on that one, SNW... About not being able to fly, but instead being able to use /tp and /tphere.
Although, about the "mayor and up" bit... I suppose it is reasonable, but getting mayor isn't really a matter of trust; it's a matter of skill. The ability to spawn water blocks, control weather, and spawn a few mobs here and there shouldn't be given because of mere skill in building and managing towns. However, I do agree with you up to that point.
But nevertheless, thank you for the feedback, SNW. Any at all can help make this a reality.

Yea this idea seems pretty cool but idk that this is a rank is really needed in the server. Maby i could just be a club. But i think i could be cool so idk for now. :P

I really don't think this is a good idea. It just sounds like you want more perms and want to annoy/scare people by taking place of ghost.
Sure, it could be a club or something, but not an official rank.
iunno. Just my opinion, it seems very open to be misused.
