Ban request (scope)

My grounds are fair, he has, on multiple occasions, provoked arguments, whether through his words or actions. He refuses to listen to neither player nor staff, and refuses to be a good player.

He failed to read the rules I had set in my village to help ensure peaceful neighbouring. Due to this, he and his brother had created a completely illegal, and obstructing basement that wasn't even known until they had causes such an uproar over a small request (the needing of which was justified by another ignored town rule) after which I had decided to remove him from the town.

Now, during this, Saint decided to take it upon himself to completely ignore any reason told by myself or the other leader, scyth. Saint proceeded to threaten to ban me multiple times if I did not allow scope to collect his belongings (another thing that is stated in the rules, is that no belongings will be allowed to be collected if kicked out of the town, so as to discourage greifing after expulsion, and serve a larger punishment).

Then he decided to go create his eye-sore of a town, 'FAR AWAY' from papertropolis *cougharoundthecorner*. Considering I had asked for papertropolis to be expanded to include the entire island, and this was accepted, before this happened, he was trespassing anyway.

I let this slide and retracted me request for the swamp area to be regioned.

He decided to go inactive for a month or so, and upon returning caused another uproar of epic proportions. Then he decided to whinge and cry about his tempban. Mrm has tried to tell him to stop, and he continues. I am not sure, but I believe he is unbanned at this time, much premature. Saint, I hope you didn't do this, but if you did, I'd request you to be de-modded, as you would clearly lack the skills.

All in all, I just want his damned troublemaker out of the server, so I can once again enjoy myself, many will agree I am sure.

During the initial event which caused you to go all OMFGIHATETHESELILFAGS on Scope, you also figured it suitable to give him three days to build an amazing house and pay you back in full, despite knowing that Scope spent all his money on buying a plot in your city.

You also refused to give Swifter access to his chests unless he bought back the region... until you decided to give him a scarce amount of time to empty that completely full double chest. You shortly thereafter unregioned him yet again, before he could even finish transfering the chest's contents. He wouldn't even have gotten it all back had I not [half-heartedly] threatened to tempban
you.

And no, Scope is not unbanned. It was a seven day ban. I do not shorten [u]tempbans[/u] without the willing of other staff. If it was an idiotic ban {e.g. the one time Jakpet tempbanned someone for two weeks due to chat flooding}, than yes, maybe. But not if it was in the slightest deserving.

Also, if I remember correctly... didn't Swifter and Scope ask Lavaclaw if their new settlement was far away enough? And didn't he, upon looking on the Dynmap, decide that it was? Mhm. I'm sure if we ask Lava, he'll recall as well. And Paper, don't make another half-assed lie about "o but he didn't." There's no real reason for anyone to believe you over another person; and vice-versa. Your trust is pretty much equal to Lava's.

Also, I'd really like to know who broke down half of the houses in Scope's town. But I don' t nesecarily think it was you or Scyth, other than that you almost admitted to doing it in the Shoutbox.

And as for me threatening to ban you if you did not allow them to collect their belongings, I don't care about your "town rules." They aren't worth anything in the face of the server rules. That "no reclaiming belongings" law of yours is just another way to say "stealing is allowed here." When Alec allowed Jojo to loot Parker's chests, it was stealing. When Alec and a few other staff didn't confiscate the items of a player who had a created a hidden player trap, they were endorsing stealing. Not allowing players to access their chests is [i]stealing[/i], and, some may say, griefing.

Now Saint, I don't understand you're reasoning for defending Scope and others so much. Anytime someone gets banned for a completely legitimate reason, you go apeshit, if you've known the person for atleast a couple weeks. I simply don't get it. Also, what does Swifter have to do with anything? Proving Paper's a bad mayor? That's not what this post is about, it's about whether or not Scope should be permabanned. Paper is speaking for not only himself when he made this ban request, I'm sure, so there's no reason to get mad at HIM when others share the same opinion. I feel like you just have a grudge with Paper and Scy, and make it visible when possible. As for Scope's ban/tempban, in my opinion, he was banned for a GOOD REASON, not stupid as you said, for he replaced blocks of good value for something less, without asking the owner. I'm for him being banned, or unbanned, I really don't care. Please tell me, why do you hate Scythistical and Paper so much, and why must you show it on every post they make?

No, I brought Swifter into this because Paper used Swifter as an example as to why Scope should be banned. And I've known Scope as long as I've been on the server.

1. neither scope nor swifter read the town rules to begin with, they are there to make it smooth for people to co-exist in the town.

2. More than 8 times I asked nicely for the houses to not be a mess of wood stairs and blocks.

3. He then proceeded to Ignore any reasoning, He was given FREE plot, due to the fact that back in the days when he wasn't acting like a complete twat, showed generosity towards me. This meant that he had an astronomically large plot for nothing, as did swifter.

4. I offered to give him the money to renovate.

5. He decided to go apeshit at me for trying to enforce my rules, that again, are there to benefit OTHER TOWN MEMBERS.

6. The 'you get booted, you lose your shit' rule is there so that they actually get disciplined when they fail to read rules and/or go apeshit. He did both. The rule is basically a 'you lose it til you show maturity and calm down' rule.

7. You decided to go apeshit on me, saying that they HAVE to be re-added to the region, after scope decided to talk about greifing.

8. I started taking down the houses due to all the commotion both YOU and SCOPE and SWIFTER and DERP decided to make.

9. It was found that yet another rule was broken and ignored (do not exceed your plot, underground or in the air either).

10. I spent an hour trying to fix the bullshit they had caused.

11. They decided to make another town.

12. Lavaclaw is not me, he does not own papertropolis, he is merely a leader because he was on later at night than me, serving as a medium for selling plots.

13. According to Lavaclaws recollection, you decided to chew out scope and swifter after all this, because it made you look like a twat. You REALLY look like a twat now.

14. You are now added to this ban request. I am sick of you as well.

Saint also decided to continually threaten to ban me, rant, spam and flood until I re-added scope to the region, even though there was a high chance of greif. Several times I said he'd be able to collect his belongings when they'd calm down.

Several hours of my personal time were spent dealing with this giant mess that would be completely avoided, had saint not been an arrogant, biased prick.
