Hello, all of Darkspin's players and such. I'm making this post, because an admin suggested I post my want of Editor here. (Viper :P)
Anyways, if I were to become Editor, I would try my best to help out more, and I would need less help from others. I know that I only recently became mod, but I'm really hoping this won't get shot down because of that. Not much else to say but, I hope I can become Editor. :3
You're right, it is too soon. And you really have to impress pretty much all the Editors, Admins and Ops before we seriously look into it.
Editor is practically an Admin rank and therefore carries high expectations.
WorldEdit is not a plugin we can simply GIVE to someone... we have to really trust them and they have to have a decent reputation on the server.
Personally, I need to see more from you. You've spent a lot of time on the server, yes, but that in and of itself begs the question, "why are there still staff who don't completely feel comfortable about your skills as a Moderator yet"
That's the vibe I'm getting anyway...
I must also add for staff reading this, I expect you to give your input on these applications.
You see what happens when WorldEdit is used poorly or when the server is simply lacking memory... that is why we must remain strict with such a plugin.

After I see you excel as a Mod, I wish for you to become Editor, I will personally (along with maybe a few more admins.if they wish to comply) see to it that you get WorldEdit training, and WorldGuard training, because just reading Viper's tutorials isn't like hands on ;D
I trust you with the current commands you have now, and I have seen you helping some people.

However, I do want to you to try to do better, ask if an admin needs help, ask if someone needs help.
It's what I did and I usually could find work to do.
(mainly because after my mansion was built I had nothing to do..)

This server is full of nothing but kids with no incentive to contribute to the server nor behave in a respectful manner and it's because admins like Feffog fucking with the players and scaring them to another, more friendly server. I invested my money into this server and that is what paid for the return of Darkspin's internet speeds.
While I will be making sure set requirements are laid out for ranks, I have a server to rebuild and I need players like you. Etiquette be damned right now, I will do what I think is best, regardless of what has been the "norm" and what ever ends up being our final requirements.
You've shown quite a lot of maturity in my time spent online during the past week and a bit and I can see you being a fine contributor to this forum. It is now my top priority to refashion these groups a bit and add you to a group I will call "Mason". Mason's will be like apprentice Editors, with less WorldEdit and WorldGuard permissions (ideally anyway... we'll see what happens) You will be expected to learn how to use WorldEdit in a manner which is kind to both our players and the server.
In addition, Editor will be renamed "Artisan".
I will be pruning through the mess we call our "permissions config" and changing it as I see fit.
We have a server to rebuild, welcome aboard.
